The Immortal Circus book review

The immortal circus

This was not a typical book. The story follows a circus, its owner, the powerful witch Mab and a girl named Vivienne who thinks she is a mortal and devoid of any magic.

With the progress of the story, it turns out the other way around. I liked especially the way the magic was portrayed and the idea that the magic world needs people to feed on dreams, so that the magic world prosper. The circus itself is a symbol of magic and that’s why Mab stages performances across the country.  I must confess that I was a bit annoyed with Vivienne’s  constant thoughts about the guy she was in love with. Still the story was interesting enough. At the end it has a cliffhanger, so the author made sure, readers will read his second book in the series. It also leaves unsolved questions and a premise – a good cliffhanger indeed.
